Simply Smooth Blog Introduction

Posted on Nov 21, 2012 in Blog

The idea for this entire blog is to bring you an easier approach to cooking, at home or in the restaurant. Banished from my mind from here forward are the convoluted, impossible to follow ramblings of the condescending chef, the recipes that look great but always come out rubbish, and the fear that your kids, new girlfriend, patrons, etc. will take one taste of your creations and stomp your soul to dust!

Instead, I bring you the new and wandering ramblings that cooking actually entails. Wandering? Cooking? What? …….. Yep, you heard (read, whatever) correct. Cooking, like any other art, skill, or passion is in fact a journey, full of tangents, mud puddles, and gloriously back-lit fields. It takes practice, and of course some daring (but you probably already knew that). So, what are you waiting for? Unleash the Daredevil, baby! Cold feet? Don’t worry, I’m here to help!

Satisfaction, Pride, and Health

I aim to re-introduce food to everyone I can. For satisfaction, pride, health, or any other goal you may have concerning culinary anything, it is my goal to share whatever I can think of or find, because food is my passion, one of my few true loves, not to mention my profession, and really, at the end of the day, what an amazing opportunity it is to share what you love with anyone willing to share in it with you! We all need to eat (how many diet books have started that way), so why not eat well? Great! But sadly your local fast food chain or grocery store freezer aisle really won’t help much with that. Food is alive, or at was until recently, and it is that vibrancy that truly sustains us!

If you’ve gotten this far, then here is what you can expect to find, post after post, within these pages: Recipe starters, ideas, trouble shooting solutions, tips and tricks, flavor profile and creation, sheesh that’s a lot! Alright, the easy version … .if it’s got to do with food, it’ll be here. period. A huge undertaking, yes, but our taste buds shouldn’t have to settle, should they? Come. Follow. Let’s learn and play together, shall we?
